January 5, 2023 ~ January 2023 Devotions: "Radiant"

  And so, I continue. . . 

That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving and tell of all thy wondrous works.  Psalms 26:7 KJV

Psalms 19:7-8 ~ 7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. KJV 

The amazing character of God’s Word, described SIX ways.

1. The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul;
2. The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;
3. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart;
4. The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;
5. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever;
6. The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

David, the beloved of God wrote this psalm defining THE HEAVENS, THE WORD, AND THE GLORY OF GOD. - C.S. Lewis wrote this about Psalm 19, "I take this to be the greatest poem in the Psalter and one of the greatest lyrics in the world.’”  David speaks of the heavens, the Word, and the glory Of God. When you consider all that is within this psalm, song, hymn we are more than blessed with the information David clearly wrote to glorify the Lord God and bring light to the Christians life. We can learn much from this Psalm, now to apply it to our lives and live as Christ would have us live.We can do it if we have the power of God within us, the Holy Spirit indwelling us, and the Lord Jesus interceding for us.

These verses are a reflection of God's never-ending love for us, and He wants us to know all that He would have us do to have a right relationship with Him. Yes, the law is important, The Ten Commandments are important, but when Jesus gave His all on the Cross of Calvary all was fulfilled and my security and salvation were made permanent upon my request for Him to be my personal Saviour, not on the law. Is yours? Are you confident of your salvation.  It isn't praying over a piece of jewelry or to a statue or "other god", that is not going to get you to heaven. The Bible is VERY CLEAR:

John 14:5-7 ~ 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

DO YOU KNOW HIM?

Lord, help us to be wise, studied up, aware, and faithful to You. Amen.

HE IS STRONG AND MIGHTY IN OUR NEED! needed special medications and local pharmacies couldn't supply and if they did their cost is $1,300.00 GOD GAVE THEM THE MEDS AS NEEDED - Pray Mrs. Carolyn as his caregiver
• Pray for my siblings, Cecil, Jim, Joe, Roger, Ray, William, Lillian, Edie, Diane, Julia, Joyce, and all of their families. All saved, but not all are serving God
• Pray for our churches and REVIVAL to come in 2023 as never before all around our nation. 
• Pray for our need for a home here in Florida - we know you have the supply Lord already, help us to be patient.
• Pray for Stan Skriloff - cancer and his caregiver wife Caren 
• Pray for our dear friend, Sister Connie Booher and her graciousness to put us up for a couple of weeks till Mrs. Cora's is ready for us in a more long-time situation.
• Pray for Sister Cora and her hip healing from a fall and surgery. PRAISE THE LORD SISTER CORA CAME HOME FROM REHAB! PRAY FOR HER CONTINUED STRENGTH AND HEALING! BUT when she got home her arm got a tare because her wheelchair couldn't get through door easy and her arm got caught. Then she was standing and went to sit in wheelchair and the footrests were down and she tore her leg. :( God knows!  Keep her in your prayers please.
• Pray for the Printing Ministry and all that goes on with it. Pray for the Mission Team coming in June that we will be able to finish all the work they will do for the few days they are with us.
