Philippians 1:6
Our God would be limited if He saved His people and then was unable to keep them protected by His Mighty hand. (Isaiah 63:1). Christ is Mighty to save and to work His sanctifying power in us throughout the rest of our lives. He will save those that are willing to repent and do repent. God is able and does bring men to repentance. He is able to break the vile heart of the wickedest, meanest sinner, give him faith and change his heart in just a moment of time. Then, continually perform that which He has started. Working in the new convert all the days of his life, conforming him to His own image.
God will take the holiness-hater and make him to love it. He will take a perverted weakling and make a prayer warrior out of him. He is God! He is mighty to save. God preserves us in His fear and love. He never leaves us to fend for ourselves. God would be a liar if he promised to seal you with His Holy Spirit and then took Him back. “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30.
Claim full victory in Jesus, daily pray for the lost, learn to repent, and realize that you can do nothing on your own. Trust in the strength of the Saviour. He is mighty to save. Are you troubled today? Have no fear, for in His strong hand are we held. Give yourself to know Him, that saves and keeps His own.
“Keeping Power”
Power belongs to Christ our Lord,
His Spirit to save, He will not hoard.
Keeping His own, is no task for Him,
Repent, give all, and you’ll not grow dim.
