Proverbs 13:9 ~ The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out. KJV
Matthew Henry comments on this verse were a big help to me today, as I studied this verse.
"The light of the righteous is as that of the sun, which may be eclipsed and clouded, but will continue: the Spirit is their Light, he gives a fulness of joy: that of the wicked is as a lamp of their own kindling, easily put out."
So, my understanding is that once I was saved and the Holy Spirit indwelled me, no matter what, happens to me, no matter where I go, no matter what I do . . . my light may be dimmed but it can NEVER BE PUT OUT. Once we are saved, we belong to the Holy God we serve. This does not mean that God will overlook sin in our lives, we cannot have sin and live a righteous life on earth. No, we will NEVER be perfect here, but with the help of the Holy Spirit we CAN overcome sin in our lives!
It is He alone that has made this a permanent situation through and by the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ! We can have confidence in our relationship with the heavenly Father, for we are now also "sons of God, His children." We are joint heirs with Jesus. Romans 8:17 ~ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
I am so thankful for the Word of God, which clearly defines me as a child of God. He alone can pull us from the miry pit of sin and set us on a crown of glory! I know that I am going to heaven, but there will be that day when He returns for the children of God, that there will be many who never got saved, never made a decision to take Christ as their Saviour; these people will be cast down and will bow before a holy God and know they are lost forever because they rejected our God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
Which throng will you be a part of? Will you be caught up in the air and be with Him in heaven forever? “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:17 or will you be the one left behind?
Do You Know HIM?
Lord, help us to be wise, studied up, aware, and faithful to You. Amen.

- Pray for our dear friend, Sister Connie Booher and her graciousness to put us up for a couple of weeks till Mrs. Cora's is ready for us in a more long-term situation.
- Pray for Sister Cora and her hip healing from a fall and surgery. PRAISE THE LORD SISTER CORA CAME HOME FROM REHAB! PRAY FOR HER CONTINUED STRENGTH AND HEALING! MORE GOOD NEWS! Miss Cora graduated from her wheelchair to her walker and can now sit in her very own chair. Praise the Lord! Keep her in your prayers please.
- Pray for the Printing Ministry and all that goes on with it.
- Pray for the Mission Team coming in June that we will be able to finish all the work they will do for the few days they are with us.
