January 16, 2023 ~ January 2023 Devotions: "Radiant"

And so, I continue. . .

That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving and tell of all thy wondrous works.  Psalms 26:7 KJV

Ezekiel 1:26-28 ~ 26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. 27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about. 28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake. KJV

The word of God describes so many times the things of heaven. Scenes we sometimes cannot imagine. Just the thought of the "Glorious Shining" of His face is almost unimaginable. But one thing I can imagine, is when I fall on my face worshiping my Saviour thanking Him for my eternal salvation. I weep now as I know His hands will be scarred, His feet will have wounds that normal man could not bear, the place where the sword pierced, and water and blood came forth ~ for the sins of all men. Can you imagine that horrible appearance of which was so torn and wounded that He was unrecognizable. Blood pouring down His face because of a nasty thorny crown and the bruises, torn flesh, and most of all, His silence. He took this punishment as a lamb brought to the slaughterhouse. He was our Lamb sacrificed for our salvation. Thank you seems so small for the God of all to give His only begotten Son as a sacrifice for our sinful souls. But He did. I can't thank Him enough, but I will try to the best of my ability, and through the power He has bestowed upon me, I will serve Him here on earth until that day He calls me home. Are you serving Him? The Bible and the LORD Himself said in Matthew 6:24 "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

How about you friend? Are you saved, are you ready for Heaven? If you are I know you must know of what I write about here today. We just can't thank Him enough. But what about you that are unsaved. You may even have a little religion, give your 10% at Christmas, even go to a Christmas program, or give to a local church. But you don't KNOW Him. You cannot recall that personal moment you spent with the LORD and asked Him to come into your heart and save you.  You see it MUST be personal. Just you and the LORD. You cannot get to heaven because you mother is saved, or anyone else in your family. This is a personal decision. Won't you ask Him today?  He said He would, if you would. He loves us so much He sent His own Son to die for us. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

O that moment when heaven opened and He received Jesus to His rightful place at the right hand of His Father, the glory, radiance, beauty, shone so bright it is difficult to describe. He didn't have to come down here to die, but He did for you and me. He loves us so very much, how can we do less than to love HIM all the more? Be Blessed. Contact Tom or I if you have any questions.HE CARES!

Do You Know HIM?

Lord, help us to be wise, studied up, aware, and faithful to You. Amen.

With love and prayers,
May we be your faithful Philippians 2:16 Missionaries?

Philippians 2:16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
