“Keep On”
Hebrews 4:14-16; 10:23; Philippians 2:16
“Keep On”
Tho’ the weeds get high, Don’t worry about why;
Just keep on a’ mowin’.
When your appetite is small, Don’t worry at all;
Keep on a’ eatin’ and a’ growin’.
And when Satan takes the Word, and changes it to seem absurd; Be like that bird in the field,
And keep on a’ crowin’.
Tho’ you plant in different soil, So much harder is the toil; Harvest time will come,
Just keep on a’ sowin’.
With your life you’ve shown the light, And still the lost can’t see their plight’ Just stay on fire,
And keep on a’ glowin’.
When the load seems too heavy to carry, And when you want to sit and tarry; Take a firmer grip,
And keep on a’ towin’.
When the waves get rough and the shore far away, He! Is in the storm, so face it and pray;
But keep on a’ rowin’.
Tho’ around you faith is small, Paint a Godly picture and stand up tall; Don’t give up,
Keep on a’ showin’.
Now Satan comes, when your thoughts are hazy, Secure he says, Can’t be, you’re crazy; Believe and read on a’ knowin’.
If you’ve been born from above, By grace through faith, that merciful love;
You’ve been to Calvary you see,
To Heaven you’re a’ goin’.
Many will say, I can’t be saved, I’ve gone too far you see; Others will say, I don’t have time and repentance is not for me; But Salvation is free, Please come to Calvary;
While the blood is still a’ flowin’.

In honor and memory of Bro. Lester Roloff, Corpus Christi, Texas,
who died in a plane crash, a few weeks after I wrote this poem.
Brother Roloff made this statement that inspired me to write this in appreciation to a valiant warrior: “He is in the storm, so face it and pray; But keep on a’ rowin’.”
