That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving and tell of all thy wondrous works. Psalms 26:7 KJV
Ecclesiastes 8:1 Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed. KJV
It has been said that the rich, the powerful, even the accomplished honourable man is as not near as good to look upon in comparison to the man who has wisdom from the Lord God. This man gains wisdom from the Almighty and as He seeks the Father for this wisdom, spends time with Him who loves Him above all, this wise man will be happy, useful, excellent in the sight of God. This man will have true insight to the great Words of the Bible, and be able to share, teach, preach, the great truths as God reveals them to him. This man's face will glow with a shine and radiance found only by our relationship with God.
I thought at one time I was so smart, had much knowledge, and was sought after because of this "talent"; when in truth I had not gained the wisdom we are talking about here today. The wisdom I need is the wisdom that it takes to serve the Lord God with all my heart, all my soul, and all my might, and so as a "wise" person I fell short. How about you? I was saved but unlearned until I made it my choice to turn my life completely around and follow after Christ. After that, He was generous with wisdom when it comes to the Word of God, my Bible, and I gained so much more than I ever would have as an unlearned Christian.
Christian, do you want excellent, useful, and happy life as the wise man. Then draw closer to the Lord by reading His word, studying, listening to the preaching of the Word. We want so much but have little ability to gain those wants without God's help. We bring misery and unhappiness on ourselves and our loved ones when we do not follow after the Lord. I am constantly amazed by God's desire to want all that He has for us and yet we do not take advantage of his love and gifts.
Make today the day that you say to yourself, the knowledge and wisdom of God is my deepest desire. As you read and study His Word, He will bless you above all blessings. If you do not know the Lord as your personal Saviour - come to Him today! He is waiting, but time is getting out! Keep looking up, He is coming SOON!
Do You Know HIM?
Lord, help us to be wise, studied up, aware, and faithful to You. Amen.
