Deuteronomy 4:29-31 ~ 29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. 30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; 31 (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them. KJV
This portion of Scripture given to Moses for God's chosen people, Israel (Jews), is one that we can apply to our own lives. Our theme this month "First Mary, Then Martha", aligns my thought processes into - how would Mary and Martha benefit from this passage, thus the same would apply to us as Christians today. One thing for sure, when you read the whole chapter, Moses is calling Israel to Obedience to God! They had turned away from Him, disobeyed Him daily and Moses is telling them that God has not forsaken them or will forsake them, He loves them and is waiting patiently for them to return to Him in obedience. Is that you today? Are you away from God, or are you even saved so you can be called by God? You can be saved and CHRISTIAN, you can be restored! Surrender in obedience to Him, you will NEVER regret it.
Let me continue. Then God even speaks to the latter days when great tribulation will be upon His people, He will be merciful to us and keep us from destruction. He said that, and He cannot lie, He is God! Folks, I don't know about you, but this gives me great peace as we watch the world, we "thought" we knew falling apart right in front of us. It is appalling what is happening in our very own country, but sometimes tribulations are the only way God can get our attention! When great calamities strike us, we call out to our Holy God for help. I do, don't you? I need Him to bring me through ~ whatever it is. The death of a child, a fire that burns everything you own, we lose our job, our husband/wife is unfaithful, a child in rebellion. These are all catastrophic events that may have occurred in your own life, or you are facing even today. BUT there is Hope; Our God Who loves us so much He sent His Son to shed His precious blood, to cover our sins, our failures, our disobedience.
What has this to do with Mary and Martha? A lot I would say. Both ladies strong in their love for Jesus, yet one is willing to drop everything and worship Him, while the other labors FOR Him, but doesn't give Him that one on one time we all need with the Lord. While Mary worshiped Him upfront and close, Martha worshiped Him from afar. Both servants and lovers of all things about their Saviour, but a clear difference of their one-on-one relationships with Jesus. I love the time I get to spend with Him. Tom and I were talking yesterday about the fact that God really never leaves us emptied hearted or handed. His love for us is greater than we can ever explain in words on a blog, but I sure want to give it a try!
You all know we are in need of a "home" of our own. We know we are where God wants us right now, but we must have some permanent dwelling that we can come home to and totally relax and rejuvenate. Do we trust Him enough to be "still" and wait on Him? We are VERY COMFORTABLE where we are, but it isn't ours. You know what I mean; we are restricted from being totally relaxed (something we need more and more as we get older) so it does make it a little difficult. But we are content in our obedience to God. His plan is PERFECT, and whatever it is we are thankful and grateful for our housing situation today. In a couple of weeks, Sis. Coras granddaughter and family are coming for a visit. That means we need to go stay with Sis. Connie for a week or so. I don't like moving, but GOD! That option we looked at a week or so ago ~ please pray about diligently! We are excited about it, and when it all works out, God will be lifted up in honor and glory and we will go where He sends us next. After all, this is not our "home" we are just passing through!

PLEASE PRAY WITH US THAT GOD WILL GIVE US A HOME OF OUR OWN SOON. THANK YOU! We looked at an option Friday. We are asking God for wisdom, trusting Him for our every need. 3/1/23 Please continue to pray that God will work out this "Option" to His honor and glory! In the name of Jesus, may we be HIS emissaries and used by Him to help others.

- David Harrison - cancer 3/1/23 UPDATE - Pastor Harrison has stage 4 cancer CAT SCAN revealed NO CANCER IN ANY MAJOR ORGANS! PRAISE THE LORD. A praise - His health team are phenomenal - that is so important!
- PRINT SHOP PUNCHER ISSUE IS RESOLVED! PRAISE THE LORD, ALSO OUR TRIMMER IS REPAIRED AS WELL AS THE LAMINATOR! ALL the result of that good meeting you helped us pray about last week. God provided and we were not charged one penny!
- Also, praise the LORD for the paper Maranatha Baptist IN Princeton WV gave us - Gospel tracts are on the way to the cartel on this paper. . . pray for souls saved and safety for the missionaries who carry it with God's protection. This trip they have been approved by two heads of state in these cartels, to set up a "church" building. They have been meeting in open air areas, and many have trusted Christ as their Saviour! The more that are saved, peace reins in their homes and communities. O the stories that can be told! Pray that God will provide all that is needed!

She has contracted a cold, please pray it will not get worse. Hard on a 91-year-old. We are thankful for this wonderful home for a few months stay till the Lord moves us on.
- Pray for the Printing Ministry - PLEASE Pray our paper supply will continue - we are still not able to purchase COVER STOCK, but we praise the Lord for our previous pastor's wisdom in buying several truckloads of this precious product. Only God knew what we would be facing today with shortages, and we have the "widows' mite" we are working from. We have started negotiating with equipment vendors, particularly for the color and black and white printers! We seek wisdom and discernment in this area!
