Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. KJV
It isn't until we see our own sin that we can turn to God for forgiveness. Israel was in a sinful state and God is letting them know, they can turn from this sin and He will forgive. God did not sacrifice Jesus just so we could die in sin. His whole purpose was to make a way for sinners to be sure of their salvation through Jesus Christ His Son and have assurance that they are going to heaven.
He tells Israel (sinners) "Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy;. . ." As sinners, we we deserve God's judgment and chastisement. But He doesn't want us to die before we have asked God to save us and forgive us of our sins. Sowing ourselves in righteousness, (seeking His forgiveness) allows God to show mercy on us. It is what He has done since Adam. His desire is to fellowship with us, to love us, and us Him. We were made for HIS pleasure, and He wants to see us excel as Christians.
I'm not sure why, but I know I have been handed mercy and grace time and time again. I struggle with my Christian Walk, just like ya'll do. I want more than anything to be what God wants me to be. He has seen fit to give me many responsibilities and I it is only by His grace, power, and mercy that I accomplish all that lays before me. I find I've not enough time sometimes. Many tasks before me each day, sometimes makes me wonder how I can get all that is on me done! From our being in a "homeless" situation and all that is going on with that, to helping my invalid daughter, and other family members as the Lord would have us do. The Ministry we serve in, my husband preaching, and we are singing along the way, caring for Sis. Cora until her family comes in for a while, where are we going to stay, books to format, covers and prayer cards, brochures all the work at the shop. Concerned about our volunteers who are all experiencing some "old age" health issues. And the list goes on . . . I'm sure you all have your own lists. But one thing I know, all can be accomplished if we give ourselves to the Lord God for strength, power, and guidance. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Israel is learning a hard lesson. We can be loved and if we are, when we get out of line, we will be chastised. I am so thankful God loves me enough to pull me back to where I should be. How about you? HE LOVES US!

We are so thankful for people who have prayed for us for this NEED! God is so good and we have had some unusual past 4 months!

- David Harrison - cancer 3/1/23 UPDATE - Pastor Harrison has stage 4 cancer CAT SCAN revealed NO CANCER IN ANY MAJOR ORGANS! PRAISE THE LORD. A praise - His health team are phenomenal - that is so important!
- Also, praise the LORD for the paper Maranatha Baptist IN Princeton WV gave us - Gospel tracts are on the way to the cartel on this paper. . . pray for souls saved and safety for the missionaries who carry it with God's protection. This trip they have been approved by two heads of state in these cartels, to set up a "church" building. They have been meeting in open air areas, and many have trusted Christ as their Saviour! The more that are saved, peace reins in their homes and communities. O the stories that can be told! Pray that God will provide all that is needed!

- Missionary Stan Skriloff recently diagnosed CANCER free, rang the bell yesterday after taking his LAST CHEMO treatment! He is suffering with other issues due to chemo treatments! PLEASE PRAY God will heal him fully and give him strength to carry on the work He loves so much!

- Pray for the Printing Ministry - PLEASE Pray our paper supply will continue - we are still not able to purchase COVER STOCK, but we praise the Lord for our previous pastor's wisdom in buying several truckloads of this precious product. Only God knew what we would be facing today with shortages, and we have the "widows' mite" we are working from. We have started negotiating with equipment vendors, particularly for the color and black and white printers! We seek wisdom and discernment in this area!
