March 19 ~ Dr. Tom Milam He Leadeth Me Devotional

“Asking, Receiving; By Believing!”

Mark 9:23; Mark 11:22; Romans 4:20

To be pleasing to God and find His blessings is to have faith, What is Faith? It is trust, it is believing, taking God at His word. Do you think you have faith? If you do; you’ll have the time of your life serving Him in your fullest capacity. You can pray all day and be very sincere in your asking, praising or even thanking God, but there will be deadness and quietness until you believe. Faith is the line between us and glory, our soul and Jesus Christ. It is the Christian that believes, whether weak or strong, that makes contact with heaven and constantly keeps a well-traveled, open line between him and God. Faith is our power line, we need to stay plugged in and send messages daily, and daily you’ll receive them. Faith is our phone line, our communication source; The instant we pick up the phone, the connection is made, God says, that’s my child, he needs to talk. The only thing that can snap the love-line connection is to have no faith. No believing prayer, no receiving promise; when trouble comes, believe and help is on its way. Has the enemy got you down? Has confusion overshadowed you? Faith is your refuge and stronghold. Without it, cry as you may, He will not answer. The only road between my soul and Heaven's shore is divine faith, and I cannot boast of it because He gave it to me to exercise my prayer life, and to be able to live in the fullness of power from God's gracious promises.

“Faith”

Faith defies the host of hell,

Upon their necks I stand.

My defense is God above,

and His all-powerful hand.

Triumphant I walk, no room to waver,

It’s faith that’s the key to stay in Gods favor.

 Bible Reading Schedule: Joshua 17-19

Weekly Memory Verses: Romans 5:1-5

Romans 5:1-5 ~ 1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3  And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4  And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5  And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. KJV
