Mark 6:33-34 ~ 33 And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him. 34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. KJV
The disciples had just come back from a successful time of ministry, being sent by Jesus into the town of Galilee and surrounding areas. When they returned, Jesus knew they needed a time of rest. Jesus knew when it was time to work, and He knew when it was time to rest. He also knew His time to teach preach on earth was short. And Jesus knew the importance of hard work better than anyone did. He said, I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. (John 9:4) At the same time, He knew that we can only be most effective at work when we also take time for rest. Jesus and the disciples were constantly busy as He became well known all around, the people came from all around to hear Him, get His healing touch, many times with no thought of food or water as they sat at His feet. But the disciples were tired, so Jesus took them away to a deserted place for some rest.
“Rest is necessary for those who labour; and a zealous preacher of the Gospel will as often stand in need of it as a galley slave.” (Clarke) I wonder sometimes how Tom and I can carry on the many things the LORD has given us to do; we get tired, and I would some days just love to work on our weariness and set some time aside for us to refire :). I know the LORD would have us do this, yet as He said, ". . . the night cometh when no man can work." John 9:4a
Also, like Him and the disciples, someone is always in need, and we are to do His work while we can. As He took the disciples to a place to rest, the crowd began to follow them. Soon it was a huge group of people of which he began to teach and as He did, he noticed their lack of food and had compassion on them AND MADE arrangements to feed them. When we see someone with a need, they are not put in our paths by accident. HE DIRECTS OUR PATHS, and we must have faith in God enough to help where we can! This pleases the Lord. We must not only feed the body, but we are to feed the soul. I love the Food Pantry ran by Pastor Clark Walden, Lighthouse Baptist in Port St. Lucie! These folks are sent away with food both for the body and for the soul! Reach everyone you can, any way you can. Time is running out. May the compassion of the Lord Jesus Christ be ours. - Missionary Stan Skriloff recently diagnosed CANCER free, rang the bell yesterday after taking his LAST CHEMO treatment! Pray God will give him strength to carry on the work He loves so much!
- Levi - teen burned 1st & 2nd degree burns on his hands, when his derby mower caught fire. Healing from burns is ongoing. UPDATE ON LEVI - HIS WOUNDS HAVE HEALED AND HE IS DOING GREAT! PRAISE THE LORD!
- PRINT SHOP PUNCHER ISSUE IS RESOLVED! PRAISE THE LORD, ALSO OUR TRIMMER IS REPAIRED AS WELL AS THE LAMINATOR! ALL the result of that good meeting you helped us pray about last week. God provided and we were not charged one penny!
- Also, praise the LORD for the paper Maranatha Baptist IN Princeton WV gave us - Gospel tracts are on the way to the cartel on this paper. . . pray for souls saved and safety for the missionaries who carry it with God's protection. This trip they have been approved by two heads of state in these cartels, to set up a "church" building. They have been meeting in open air areas, and many have trusted Christ as their Saviour! The more that are saved, peace reins in their homes and communities. O the stories that can be told! Pray that God will provide all that is needed!

We moved Saturday the 14th, once again, to a precious saint's home for a couple of Months... at least till May when we will probably have to "move again." We are glad to be a help to Sister Cora and feel by May she will have her strength and healing by then.
- Pray for Sister Cora and her hip healing from a fall and surgery. Praise the Lord! Keep her in your prayers please. She is still experiencing alot of pain. We are thankful for this wonderful home for a few months stay till the Lord moves us on.
- Pray for the Printing Ministry - PLEASE Pray our paper supply will continue - we are still not able to purchase COVER STOCK, but we praise the Lord for our previous pastor's wisdom in buying several truckloads of this precious product. Only God knew what we would be facing today with shortages, and we have the "widows' mite" we are working from. We have started negotiating with equipment vendors, particularly for the color and black and white printers! We seek wisdom and discernment in this area!
