February 4 ~ Dr. Tom Milam He Leadeth Me Devotional

“The Love Of God”

Romans 8:38-39

God’s love for us cannot be measured by any means, in our mentality or any earthly method. Look what the children of Israel went through, as they cried and complained, God still loved them as He does us. He loved us when we were held captive, (down in worldly Egypt); He provides clothing, shelter, water and food as He leads us through the wilderness. His grace was sufficient for His chosen people of old and it is yet sufficient today for all believers. Though you are troubled, His grace is sufficient; His blood has pardoned us in all of our sins; He has comforted us with His divine guidance, “Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.” Glance back into the past and see how He loved and cared for his own, He is no different today as He graciously cares for us. The God of yesterday is God today, in His love and pardon, and will continue to prove it over and over again.

He is the first and the last, the beginning  and the end, Alpha and Omega; Sovereign and Holy, Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent; He is the true living God and above Him there is no other that gives life and then sustains it. The love of God cannot be explained in mortal terminology.

When we come down to the cold chilly waters of death, He’ll be there to take us safely home; death cannot separate us from the love of God. Do not fear when you look into the mysteries of the future, concerning God’s eternity, soon faith will turn to sight and His love has done it all.

“God’s Love”

Down comes showers of blessings,

Holy manna from above;

Receive it, share it and eat it,

It is Gods holy love.
