“Deciding On What To Decide”
Joel 3:14
“Multitudes, multitudes in the Valley of decision......” We’ve all been in places in our lives where we just don’t know what to do. So, what do we do when we can’t decide on what to do?
#1 Walk by Faith: (I Corinthians 16:13) “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith,” (II Corinthians 5:7) “For we walk by faith and not by sight.” Remember how faithful your flesh is, and when you get to depend upon it, it will let you down. You may ask; but how do I have faith when I’m so down?
(a) Trust in the never-failing God, (look at your past), He was there the other day when you thought you couldn’t make it through that crisis, but you did. God promises in Joshua 1:5, “I will not fail thee...”
(b) God will not forsake you, (look at His presence) Hebrew 13:5, “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.” Someone told David, that Goliath was too big to hit, but David’s attitude was that the giant was too big to miss. Are you having an attitude let down?
(c) God will not forget you, (He is persistent), “He said I’ll love you with an everlasting love.”
#2 Worship Him Fully:
(a) Praise Him as the God who has saved you. (Revelation 4:11, Revelation 5:12)
(b) Proclaim Him as the God who will hear and help you. (Psalm 40: 1-3)
(c) Publish Him as the God that can be trusted, “Go into all the world and tell them of the Saviour.” (Matthew 28:18-20).
#3 Wait Faithfully and Pray:
(a) There are really no set of rules or a pattern to go by when we need something from God, just go and ask Him. When you want something worse than bad, you’ll say pretty please, and our Father is “touched by the feelings of our infirmities.” (Psalms 27:14)
(b) “Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and ye shall not be greatly moved.” (You might preach me to the altar, but you’ll never preach me to the house!)
(c) He is my refuge--(Psalms 62: 7-8) “The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God....God is a refuge for us.” Serve Him gladly, after all, He served us with His life and death.
“To Wait On God”
To wait on God is to be glad with no doubt,
To worship is to serve with a towel gird about;
If we give a good portion of substance and self,
We’ll never lay idle upon a shelf.
Give God a treasure of your earthly wealth,
Take Him your all and then someone else.
