Matthew 5:14-16 ~ 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. KJV
Christian if you are looking at the news, we see anger, crime, terror and disease. Politics, entertainment, social media is all dark. And with all this going on around us, we might be tempted to shake our fists at God and cry, “Where are you in all this darkness? We need light!” I believe that if we did that, God would likely grab us by the shoulders, shake us, look us in the eye and say, “You are the light.” This is just what Jesus said, ". . . Ye are the light of the world". We are the ones that will draw the ones lost in darkness and sin to the light. The devil will try us every way he turns but he cannot extinguish the light of Christ from the Christian, no matter how dim it may be. He has no power or dominion over God's children. The problem is, how bright is your light? How close are you to the Lord; do you love Him enough to attend church, read your Bible, study, pray diligently, tithe, give offerings? The further we are from THE LIGHT, the dimmer our light shines, and the less likely that we will be able to lead others to the Lord and His Great Salvation, Jesus Christ.
Christian Mother, Father, Grandmother, Grandfather; your children were taught to love God and follow after Him faithfully, but now you don't, so they don't, and now your grandchildren barely know what "church" is and these precious people you love the most, are most likely unsaved. You know what that means, but do they? They are on a one-way trip to HELL. Do they know that no matter how good they are, THEY CANNOT get to heaven on good. And they won't get to heaven on your coat tails, either. There is only one way by which man can be saved! Through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
Examine yourselves. Those that are saved, how bright is your light. Are you drawing the lost to THE LIGHT? Are you doing your best for God. Woe unto us who will stand before the judgment seat of God one day and have to look at our children, GRANDCHILDREN, thrown out into an eternal lake of fire, all because we could not give God the time of day and teach our young ones about the Saviour.
LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE FOR CHRIST! DRAW OTHERS TO HIM BY YOUR BRIGHT LIGHT! It could be their last opportunity to know the Lord as their Saviour vs. as their judge!
He loves us! O God may the world see the Light of Jesus in my life! Help me Lord when I fail you and bring knowledge of my failure to my mind and heart so that I may change course to the only One who can help me! We love you Father, thank you for first loving us!

Lord, help us to be worthy of your sacrifice, securing our souls with the Light of your life and sacrifice. May Your light shine in and through us as our reasonable service to You. Save the lost, encourage the saints please. And help us to be wise, studied up, aware, and faithful to You, giving YOU all of our best with an open loving heart for the ministry and people. Help us Lord, to be wise in our homelife and all that is going on with that. Thank you in advance, Lord, for working out our situation for a home in FL. Thank you for all who are praying for us. I pray for those who have given of their finances, and that you will continue to supply. We know you are our great Provider, and we can't thank you enough. We thank you Lord for your wonderful mercy in Tom's eyes and ask that you would heal him completely or at least allow the drug to work. We love you Lord and thank you for first loving us. Amen.
