Psalms 97:10-12 ~ 10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. 11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. 12 Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. When David wrote the psalms, do you think he could have ever imagined that he was not only writing to the Israelites in his day, but to all of God's people through the ages. I venture not, BUT GOD KNEW! And he had these Psalms recorded and put on the heart of the men of God, to write all the books of the Bible. My pastor used to say, if you don't read the Bible but just a little bit, read in Psalms and the Book of Proverbs. Why? Because he knew that these books were full of "What Christians need to know and apply in their lives."
Christians, David is talking to us when he says, "Ye that love the LORD, . . ." We are to hate evil, and God will preserve our very souls through and by the blood of His precious Son Jesus! He is the "Light of the World!" And as the children of God, we are His precious loves. It is through His holiness that we have salvation. There was NOTHING I could do enough of, to get me to heaven, and the same for you. It breaks my heart when I meet GOOD people who believe that they can WORK their way to heaven! Folks, that is the biggest lie of the devil. Even he knows the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. He also knows he is the biggest loser from time to time. When he went against God thinking he was a god himself, he lost. Cast out of heaven with a death sentence called the "lake of fire". His only purpose is to destroy God's people, and those that are not saved his earnest desire is to see you DIE and go to hell and be with him forever!
HELL is real, and you don't have to go there. Don't depend on the good you do, the groups, the society's, etc. that you are a member of that do good, or the people you help with all that you have. It is nothing but dust to God, not that it isn't good, but that those things will not get you into heaven! And when He sends Jesus back to get the Saints, if you are not spiritually ready, it will be too late. Many have already gone to hell, and many more will go to hell, the devil is persistent, and we are weak vessels without the POWER of God. The moment we accept Jesus as our Saviour, that MOMENT, is when the Holy spirit of God indwells us forever and all the power of God is just a breath away when we need it. Pray and ask God to save you. Don't go to hell on the devil's heels.... trust Him who died for you and loves you and wants you. Please, don't have an I think so attitude with regards to your salvation. Have A KNOW SO attitude. John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Can the devil promise you that? NO!

Lord, help us to be worthy of your sacrifice, securing our souls with the Light of your life and sacrifice. May Your light shine in and through us as our reasonable service to You. Save the lost, encourage the saints please. And help us to be wise, studied up, aware, and faithful to You, giving YOU all of our best with an open loving heart for the ministry and people. Help us Lord, to be wise in our homelife and all that is going on with that. Thank you in advance, Lord, for working out our situation for a home in FL. Thank you for all who are praying for us. I pray for those who have given of their finances, and that you will continue to supply. We know you are our great Provider, and we can't thank you enough. We thank you Lord for your wonderful mercy in Tom's eyes and ask that you would heal him completely or at least allow the drug to work. We love you Lord and thank you for first loving us. Amen.
