“Belief, The Power to Produce Effective Results”
I Corinthians 2:4

If I am only out to impress people, my impression of God is not valid. I would become a hypocrite and would draw people away from the gospel, rather than to it. I must be an instrument to draw people to believing Christ, not turn them away. I must have the power of God in my preaching, and believe that when I preach it, others will believe it. I pray that people can see enough of Jesus in me, that they will be persuaded to follow Him.

If there is anything in my life that makes me to be seen more than Jesus’ redemptive work in me, I must get rid of it immediately. It would surely hinder the gospel being presented. I am here to show God to others, to preach the gospel, and that is it. My prayer is that I can preach and present the gospel, so as to draw them to a willingness to change. 

I hope that people will not see me as something I am not; O God, that they may see Jesus and the plan of salvation in my preaching, or I have failed. If I ever cease to lift up Jesus, with honor and praise, I don’t want to be here, my work will be finished, and I’ll be of no benefit.

“Cloudy Days”
Psalm 138:7, 8

Many times, while on our journey, we get afraid. Clouds and darkness seem to prevail, misty valleys with damp clammy fingers reach out through the night and make your dream seem like an ebbing of a nightmare; The vision you had seems to be nothing more than a figment of imagination. But you know that God is there in it all, because you’ve seen Him in action; When it seems the darkest, light breaks through, and reveals the hand of the Master, because He was there all of the time, my troubled child.

Believe in what you have studied in His word, and what you have seen Him do, over and over. Even if doubt assails you, while climbing to Heavenly places, and finding the perfect will of God.

We must remember the promise, go forward, never stray left or right; Obedience is the lot for blessings, not lingering in fleshly lusts. I am not going to turn left or right. I’m going straight ahead, until God turns me. If I know to go on doing good, then God will turn me when it is right, when I have learned enough to go in a different direction. I must keep my heart and mind on what I know is right, and God will guide me in those places I fear and doubt.

And so, I continue. . . 

That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving and tell of all thy wondrous works. Psalms 26:7

Isaiah 40:30-31 ~ 40 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. KJV 

There are MANY wonderful gifts God has for us once we are saved, and Isaiah is talking about one of the best ever gifts right here. After explaining all the greatness and glory of God, now Isaiah explains another benefit we can receive from our God – He gives us His great power. There is nothing we can do as people that is more beneficial than getting saved. Realizing that I was a sinner on my way to hell at one point in my life, scared me to death. I had heard about heaven and hell most of my life, but it was not "personal" ~ but when I realized that I was going to hell unless I accepted Jesus as my Saviour, it didn't affect me. BUT when I did see myself in hell, I begged God to save me! AND HE DID. I cannot tell you in all truth that I have been faithful to follow after Him all of my days since that day, August 13,1968, but I can tell you that I have made great changes in my life for Him, and I have never regretted it; no not one moment of regret.

So not only do I know that I am NOT GOING TO HELL, I do know I AM GOING TO HEAVEN! And while I wait for that day I draw my last breath OR God sends Jesus to bring His bride home, I do my level best to follow after Him. But even as a "saved" person, I still live in this world of which the Prince of the Power of the Air is the devil himself. We are tempted daily and many times a day to reject God and follow after the evil one. But my Bible tells me I can resist the devil in the power of the Lord. God sent the Comforter, His Holy Spirit to indwell me AT THE MOMENT I was saved. He gives me strength and power to meet every obstacle in my way, and when I overcome, God gets the glory!

How about you? Do you have the confidence of knowing you are going to heaven one day? If not, I have GREAT news for you!  You can know that you are saved and on your way to heaven! 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

The word of God was given to us to lead us to salvation and as a guide on how to live as a Christian.  We must read, study and hide His Word in our hearts!

Follow After Christ Always! Don't allow the tempter to have control of ANY portion of your life. RESIST! 

James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8  Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

UPDATE: We are waiting on some paperwork to come through and are trusting that it is God's will that it will happen SOON! PLEASE keep PRAYING WITH US THAT GOD WILL GIVE US A HOME OF OUR OWN SOON. THANK YOU! 3/18/23 Please continue to pray that God will work out this "Option" to His honor and glory! Trusting God for His every provision! We are so thankful for people who have prayed for us for this NEED! God is so good and we have had some unusual past 4 months!

In the name of Jesus, may we be HIS emissaries and used by Him to help others.

• Carolyn healing from skin cancer removal - praise the Lord.
• David Harrison - cancer 3/1/23 UPDATE - Pastor Harrison has stage 4 cancer CAT SCAN revealed NO CANCER IN ANY MAJOR ORGANS! PRAISE THE LORD.   A praise - His health team are phenomenal - that is so important!
• Also, praise the LORD for the paper Maranatha Baptist IN Princeton WV gave us - Gospel tracts are on the way to the cartel on this paper. . . pray for souls saved and safety for the missionaries who carry it with God's protection. This trip they have been approved by two heads of state in these cartels, to set up a "church" building. They have been meeting in open air areas, and many have trusted Christ as their Saviour! The more that are saved, peace reins in their homes and communities. O the stories that can be told! Pray that God will provide all that is needed! 
• Pray for the Printing Ministry and all that goes on with it.  Keep on praying, God is moving!

• UPDATE: Newborn - KNOX HAD BRAIN SURGERY YESTERDAY TO RULE OUT MEDICAL ISSUES THE SURGONS THOUGHT THEY WOULD FIND - AND THEY COULD FIND NO PROBLEM. HE CAME THROUGH THE SURGERY OK AND MORE TESTS HAVE BEEN ORDERED. PLEASE KEEP HIM IN PRAYER! Pray for his family who are seeking God's wisdom and comfort for the family.
• Sal fell, broke his hip, had surgery. Please pray for a speedy recovery! one of our volunteers. He will be in rehab for awhile.

• UPDATE 3/4/23 - little Chloe Rochester's results on tumor revealed that it is stage 3 and will most likely move to other organs quickly. She begins 52 weeks of intensive treatments. please give wisdom to the doctors and her parents.
• Missionary Stan Skriloff recently diagnosed CANCER free, rang the bell yesterday after taking his LAST CHEMO treatment! PRAY God will give him strength to carry on the work He loves so much!
