April 4 ~ Dr. Tom Milam He Leadeth Me Devotional

“Perfectly Saved”

I John 3:9; Colossians 2:10; II Corinthians 5:21

Someone has rightfully said, in our flesh we are not perfect, but we are perfectly saved and as far as God sees us, we are perfect in Christ. We must always look to His perfection in us, not at our very faithful flesh, we will be very disappointed with it always. But one day it will be redeemed also. We are complete in Christ, that means nothing else can be added, it is enough! We, as a perfected saint in Gods sight, stand as if we had never sinned before, and we have living in us the very power of God Himself. That empowers us to live the overcoming life, (I John 5:4). We are wearing the holiness of God; we are draped in His righteousness and none of the inbred sin can condemn us (Romans 8:1). You see, we don’t make sin a habit anymore, we hate it so that we fight to bring it always under subjection, and trusting in Gods power, we are able to. Our sins are not ours any longer, they were laid on Jesus; past, present and future sins were cast away into the sea of forgetfulness. We no longer stand in ourselves - we stand in Christ. I’m no longer accepted in myself, but into the beloved, my Lord. I am a sinful creature, accepted of God, and I will stand before Him a sinful man, but thank God, forgiven. I am as free from corruption now as I will be when I stand before Him at the judgement seat, not for sins committed, but for things done whether good or bad. Think on this and pin it down, if you are saved, you are accepted, perfected and completed in Christ and Him alone!

“Interceding”

With our Saviour's garment on,

We’re as holy as the Holy One;

It is Christ who paid the price,

And suffered all alone;

But He arose, and is seated there,

to intercede for us,

We’re granted life to live in joy,

And Heaven is our plus.

Weekly Memory Verses: Hebrews 4:9-13

Hebrews 4:9-13 ~ 9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11 ¶Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.  KJV
