November 1, 2022 ~ Devotions: "The Grace of Giving"

And So I Continue . . . . . .

Jared & Brie's back yard in Okeechobee!
That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.   Psalms 26:7 KJV

Genesis 1:27-29 ~ 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

When you read a book, do you start at the end? Do you start a few chapters in or do you start on page one. Most people start on page one.  You have a good idea of what the book is about by its title, and you don't want to miss a word, so, you start on page one.  The same is with the Word of God. For the lost searching for an answer to the "empty void" they feel, they decide to seek out the Spiritual and they turn to the Bible and Genesis 1:1! In the beginning . . . starting there, they will read of the great Creator and His creation when He took nothing and made much. The land, sea, air and all of its occupants; animal and man. . . He wasn't finished until he created man. Verse 27 states this for a fact.  When God created man, He had kept the best for last on purpose. He was made for GOD's pleasure. In addition, man was not only created for God's pleasure, but he was also created to care for all that God had created.

As the lost person continues reading, he will find that God created man in His own image, His like kind, His children. God blesses His children, and tells them to be fruitful and multiply, replenishing the earth while subduing it. Are they getting confused or has the Holy Spirit opened their eyes to the very truths of the Word of God leading them to salvation? Some say that Genesis 3:15 tells of God's wondrous salvation for man, of which it was planned "In the beginning. . ."  Genesis 3:15 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. If the angels of heaven could turn against God ~ He knew His children might do the same thing, and they did. Our Father made plans for just such a day - we are all born into sin because of Adam and Eve's falling away from God. But God made a way.  He was willing to GIVE His most prizeD possession, HIS SON. All the devil can give you is death, hell, and forever separation from our Holy God.

Have you ever thought about the fact that until you are saved by God's grace, you are a seed of the devil. A seed planted in the Garden of Eden when the old serpent fooled Eve, and then Adam. All carnal and wicked men, who have never taken Jesus as their Saviour, are called the children and seed of Satan. Sadly, many have died in their sin and their destiny is hell, forever. But there are many still alive that can be reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and they can be delivered from hell and preserved unto that day God calls them home or Jesus returns.

The redemption of men from sin and hell, was made because God was willing to give His Son, Jesus who was willing to surrender His life and go in the place where a saved man will NEVER go. He died on the cross, was buried, descended into hell, defeated the devil with His resurrection and is now preparing a place for us in heaven.  John 14:1-3 "1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

God's grace is amazing!  He wants to save you and keep you. If you have never taken Jesus as your PERSONAL Saviour, won't you do it today? Ask Him to forgive you of your sin, accept Him into your heart and life, serve Him and Him only. You ask, He will forgive? YES! It is recorded! 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If you prayed and asked Jesus to be your Saviour, please let us know.  We will be happy to send you more information on what to do now that you are saved. May our God tender your heart to salvation.  The day is drawing nearer than we think, when He will return. Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But we do know it is going to happen!  Be ready, He is coming soon.

Lord, help us to be wise, studied up, aware, and faithful to You. Amen.

With love and prayers,
LKMilam
